Miracles

Today I finished reading The Miracles of the Namiya General Store by Keigo Higashino. It’s the Indonesian version. I love it but I don’t know why it took me long to finish it. Reading is getting harder. Like deep and meaningful reading is difficult.

Any books will tell you something. I learn that people’s problems are interconnected. I learn that a person can be a headache for others and kind of enjoy it. I learn that asking something doesn’t mean you don’t know the answer but there are many possibilities that weigh in. There is fear of regretting the choice we made. However, I feel like my life is secure and less uncertain.

I mean if I put myself in those characters lives, I will have the same doubts. Basically, you need someone to talk to. Just to said your thoughts out loud and lay out the options. Sometimes, we need to know what others think of our options and their judgments. Just to be prepared.

It shouldn’t be a miracle to share your thoughts and ask for opinion. Or maybe, in some cultures and in the future, you need to pay someone to listen for your problems and ask for honest opinion. Maybe in the future, it takes a miracle to have friends.
